    Importing SAT / ACT scores

Does anyone import SAT / ACT scores from the disk provided by College Board? Do you have instructions on how to do that? The Knowledgebase says it has been filed as a suggestion. Also, do you import PSAT and PLAN scores?

We considered doing this as well, but were informed by colleges/universities that they will only take a copy of the official label from College Board/ACT. Just FYI - you might want to reconsider. Unfortunately, all I know about importing is that you can convert the disk info to excel and can import from excel to blackbaud. However, your fields have to match exactly. You might want to hand type in a few scores and then export them and use the field names to then import -- in other words, work backwards. That is my best suggestion...

We investigated importing them, for our own information purposes, and the only trick to it I recall is that each test type needs to be done as a separate import. We decided it was too fussy. Barbara Kingswood-Oxford School

We would like to but the College Board at least supplies a date MMYYYY and Blackbaud Registrar's Office is MM/DD/YYYY so to import the data, Registrar's Office needs to be a MM/YYYY format. I've filed the suggestion with them but it may be Education Edge 7 that gets the revision. Urge them to make the change. Also we tell students that our reporting is a backup, not the official copy of the scores. They must request it from College Board directly for the college application.
