How do you handle gifts that are designated as non tax deductible?

Currently we received checks from other agencies and we do not give them a tax deductible receipt? In order to track this we enter all gifts of this nature with gift type - OTHER (not cash)? How do other folks handle this type of situation? Thanks!!

If you enter these amounts in RE, it is probably because you calculate these as gifts revenues and you need to balance you bank account with RE? If the gifts are non tax deductible, you could use the Do Not Receipt gift field. You will not issue a receipt and will be able to track those gifts. You could also use a Gift code "Non tax deductible" Richard Coveney Fondation de Polytechnique (514) 340-4711 x3756
