    Hello out there: I have done actions in the past in Records but they were always in the past tense. How do I create an action to occur every month? (the from/to fields are for times not dates). Thanks ! Debbie de Boer

    Hi Debbie, As per my knowledge I don't think that Raisers Edge have Recurring actions. What you can do is write a macro on After Save event of Action, this macro will ask for frequency and number of actions and will automatically add the actions to actions tab for different dates. You need to have programming knowledge of VBA and Raisers Edge objects to achieve this but someone who knows RE programming, it should not be a difficult and costly task.     I don't know if this will do exactly what you want. If you have outlook on the calendear you can input recurring events. For example, for my donors who are annuitants I enter when their quarterly income payments will be sent or deposited.     Hi Debbie,
    This is a simple format but it works. Enter your action and for the action date, enter the date you want to be reminded. Click the "auto remind" box, Open "notify" and slide your user name over to the right hand box. Choose one of the reminder options at the bottom. I use the RE one and each action pops up on the home page of RE 2 or 3 days before I need to act on it. Set the "reminder" for a 1 or 3 days. The action will show a couple days before you need to do anything. If this isn't clear, feel free to call me. 819-822-9600 Ext 2265.

    I haven't actually used action tracks yet but can't you use that to set up a 10 year annuity payment action track where there are 40 actions (4 quarterly reminders each year).

    Has anyone else used action tracks for anything similar to this? Melissa S. Graves
