We are talking about the possibility of instituting a minimum gift level/subscription for our alums to receive our Alumni Magazine. Do any other schools do this? Kate, I don't work for a school, but my alma mater has instituted a minimum gift of $20 each year in order to continue receiving the magazine. At the non-profit where I currently work, we are in the process of instituting an $18 minimum gift. We are still working out how to tell the donors, so if you get any recommendations, I'd love to hear them.
