Hi there

I want to know how other users record an action to the same person but about different funds. For example we have someone who has split a gift into two funds. When we write to that person i don't really want to have two actions but the drop-down box in an action for funds only allows you to record one fund.

So do you record the other fund somewhere else?

Hi Louise, I am afraid that there are not too many fields to play with in action record, so if you want to add a second fund then we suggest you to make Fund2 as an action attribute and enter value by hand. Further, to make life easier (Or difficult :-)) you can make a custom table "Funds" and add all your funds in this table and validate your attribute value against this table. This is bit cumbersome but it will avoid typing mistakes while entering fund2 information in action record. Since it's an attribute you will get this info on most of queries or exports.
