After installing Raiser's Edge 7 to our Blackbaud server we are now getting an error when attempting to log into faculty access for the web. All databases are on the same server. We also did some windows patches. The error is Permission denied. Any ideas? Deb Case

We had this very same problem last year, under similar circumstances (upgrade to RE, everything on the same server, etc.). A BB rep ended up suggesting running filemon and it identified a file that was updated with incorrect permissions. So, get a copy of filemon (www.sysinternals.com) and run it while trying to log into faweb and look for denied messages. For us FAWeb works MUCH better running on a different machine. We actually run Virtual Server and have 3 faweb virtual servers running on one physical machine and everything is faster than with one server on the actual BB server (for about 55 faweb users).
