Appeal-asking amount

Hi. Does anyone record the asking amount in RE7? If so, where and how do you enter in RE7? We ask certain amount in appeal to hope they will give us more than last year, but I haven't recorded this in RE7 yet. I would like to see the comparison report between what we ask and what they actually gave. Place it appeal comments? Import? If anyone can help me out, I would really appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Makiko :) We do have "Intelligent Ask" appeals based on previous giving patterns, and once the outgoing ask level (or range etc.) is part of the Appeal or Package (NB. this can be as a code rather than an amount) assigned to the recipient, you can report on the performance in a number of ways. Using Excel pivot tables you can summarize the range of responses to a particular ask, see how appropriate your asks were and so on. So, for example, if your mailing (Appeal) has 10 different ask levels, assign a Package to each ask level and ensure that the Package is part of the outgoing Assigned Appeal (and ideally the incoming Gift Record also, although you can still report without this). Hope this helps, feel free to e-mail if you would like more info :) Chris Chris Trevor Database Consultant St Dunstans 020 7616 7931
