The Land Trust of Napa County is seeking an experienced, energetic person with fundraising or sales experience in the Napa Valley to lead it’s development department as the Director of Development and Outreach.

This position will collaborate with the Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers in developing and implementing a 5-year strategic fundraising plan to build a sustainable financial future.

In addition to administrative and budgetary responsibilities, this position will oversee, plan and execute all fundraising and development activities including, but not limited to individual giving ($1K and above), events, membership and annual fund, foundation giving, planned giving, and our hotel partner program.

The Development Director reports to the Chief Executive Officer; will work closely with the Board of Trustees; be a member of the Development Committee; and oversee part-time staff person, various consultants and volunteers.

Desirable: Bachelors degree; at least 5 years of Fundraising, Sales or similar experience with proven success; experience in public speaking; strong diplomacy skills; superior verbal and written communication skills and an outstanding ability to build positive relationships.
