    from query to Global Add

I run the query to get a group that fits a certain criteria.  Then it's exported to excel and passed around the office for additions/deletions.  Then I need to globally add the appeal/attribute/whatever.  But I can't simply use the query I started with because of the additions/deletions.  Sometimes it's no big deal to globally add and then manually take off the appeal/attribute for the few exceptions, but most of the time, it is a big deal.  How do you handle this?  Is there a step I'm missing?

     Thanks for your help.

Re: from query to Global Add

If you have included the constituent ID or import ID in your original export and ensure that this column is not deleted when it is passed around your office.

When you receive the final version you can simply copy and past this column into a new spreadsheet and run an import with Update Existing Records selected and 'Create an output query of the records updated' also marked.

Raiser's Edge will create a static query of the correct group.

The import doesn't need anything in it beside the ID?  Oh, what a time saver!  Thank you so much!

No - just the import id because all you want to do is create the query

If you have Const ID exported first time you can simply copy/paste ID in query ( limit is 500 records) merge queries and then do global add.To copy /paste from Excel select 500 records and copy them, then open query, select Constituent ID -option "one of" scroll to the bottom, click on last filed and then paste records using Ctrl + V ( this is only way to paste in queries)
