This position reports to the Associate Director of Advancement. Primary duties include assisting with the management and implementation of numerous Woodward Fund solicitations throughout the academic year.
Specific duties include:
1) Organizing direct mail, phonathons, stewardship events, donor reports, pledge reminders and the recruitment of volunteer solicitors for the Woodward Fund.
2) Working with the Database Manager and the Advancement Associate in all aspects of the gift acknowledgment and matching gift process.
3) Planning and organizing an annual Presidents Dinner for major benefactors as recognition for annual, capital and planned gifts.
Additional qualifications include:
1) Attention to details and appropriate follow-up, use of discretion regarding confidential information and excellent writing skills are all required. Must be team-oriented and enjoy working in a large independent school setting.
2) Undergraduate degree from an accredited institution of higher learning or the equivalent is required.
3) Some evening and weekend work assignments throughout the year. Perform other duties as assigned.
4) Excellent computer skills - knowledge of a variety of programs for monthly reports and extensive data entry. Preference given to candidates with experience using Word (mail merges), Excel and Raiser’s Edge 7.8 Software.
5) An energetic professional with at least three-years of related work experience to join an advancement team of 12 staff members.
