Title: Director of Information Management Date Revised: January 12, 2010 Department: Information Support Services (ISS) FLSA Classification: ExemptSupervisor Title: Director of ISS Schedule: 12-Month PositionSupervisee(s): Information Services Coordinator Status: Full-time (1.0 FTE), benefits-eligible Coordinates With: Administrators, Faculty, Staff, Outside Vendors Position Overview:The Director of Information Management is responsible for the management and integration of Blake’s core databases specifically including Raisers Edge (advancement), Education Edge (admissions/registrar), Financial Edge (business) and their accompanying software/packages. Working closely with staff throughout the School, the Information Management Director’s responsibilities include strategic planning for all databases; establishing database management protocol; coordinating and providing training planning; coordinating technology needs across departments and divisions; and other specialty tasks as needed and supported by Blake’s long-range plan and programs. Principal Accountabilities:25% Coordinates database operations of Advancement Office· Set goals, objectives, and workplans and monitor progress· Develop and oversee implementation of database policies, procedures and standards· Provide training Advancement Services staff· Lead and ensure the accurate and ethical management of all constituent information 25% Cordinates database operations of the Admissions and Registrar Offices· Coordinate data gathering and integration of data around inquiries and student records· Manage directory information update process· Coordinate and lead training of support staff, both within Admissions and the divisions· Develop and oversee implementation of database policies, procedures, and standards· Lead and ensure the accurate and the ethical management of all constituent information· Provide training for divisional staff and US registrar· Assist in the development and implementation of online resources for faculty, students and parents 15% Corodinates database operations of the Business Office· Coordinate data gathering and integration of billing and financial data around student records, as necessary· Coordinate and lead training of support staff· Assist in the development and implementation of database policies, procedures, and standards· Lead and ensure the accurate and ethical management of all constituent information 15% Manages the use and development for schoolwide databases· AlertNow, E911, Naviance, TestWiz, US Conference Scheduler· Develop queries as needed· Help identify priorities· Provide recommendation for use of service 15% Project Database Manager for all schoolwide databases· Assist in the development and implementation of all online interfaces for alumni, student and parent · Supervise staff and administrators in updating content and managing data collection · Advise staff and administrators in best practices for database interaction· Ensure The Blake School community database needs are fully integrated 5% Assist in the development and integration of data throughout the school as directed by the Head of School or the Director of Information Support Services· Provide metrics and any related information, which demonstrates the usage of data within the school· Make recommendations of needs for furthering integration or use of data throughout the school Position Criteria: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of three years of related experience Required Constituent relationship management Required Database and product management Required Service-oriented and able to work cooperatively and effectively with others Required Strong communication skills Required Ability to manage own time effectively Required Reliable transportation between campuses Required Experience with Blackbaud suite of products Required Supervisory experience Preferred Team Participation: Participate as a contributing member of the ISS team. As appropriate, give input for ways to improve procedures and policies currently in use to ensure business is conducted in a safe, responsible manner. Willing to assist in other areas and with other tasks not defined in position description.
