I have been doing some development and have come across a scenario where I like to pull data in more than one fields of a form from a search list. I am looking for a similar functionality like the one that already exists in the Individual Constituent relationships add form. When we add a relationship of an Individual Constituent to another Constituent, the searchlist for the related record populates the lastname and the firstname field on the form. How can i get this functionality in a custom form?

If I understand you correctly, when you create your custom searchlist you need to concatenate the first and last name in the sql for producing the searching list. This is how the relationship search list appears to function.

 I am using a searchlist on a form field. Lets call the form parentform. I want to populate another field on the parent form from the result of the searchlist. So in essence i want more than one fields to get populated after i select a record from the search list.

 Once we do this, two or more fields will have values that come from the searchlist.
