    Shared Documents Vs. Assignments

Our teachers prefer to post their assignments as shared documents. The issue is that in doing so families have to go to each class to get the document. Anyone else having a similar issue? Any suggestions?

    Re: Shared Documents Vs. Assignments

If the shared document is an assignment they can share the document associated with the particular assignment by selecting the assignment and using the attach document button on the bottom of the assignment setup page.  After that it is the exact same process, but the document appears as a link right beside the assignment, and when the assignment is copied to other classes, the shared document is copied also.

I advise my teachers to only use the shared class documents for items that need to be available all the time, like a syllabus or a semester vocabulary list.

     I hope this helps.
