I just attempted to post the following question in the "Export/Mail/Reports" section and I got a message about how the question needed to be approved by a moderator. I have never gotten that message before. Anyhow, I'm hoping that posting this question generally, rather than specifically, I may get a prompt response. I attempted to run receipts using multiple batch numbers, that is, I ran the receipts using the following criteria: type ABC receipts from all batches with a batch number greater than 1900. I was expecting about 75 receipts and instead I got 110 The additional receipts were from back more than 5 years ago and weren't even of the letter type I was asking for. I have no idea what caused me to get those extra receipts and it turned out to be quite a job to get rid of the unwanted ones. Any idea what I may have done wrong, or what step I may have missed that caused this to happen?
Can you be more specific about exactly what fields you used and if you enclosed the criteria in brackets? Gift Query? Used in the Mail/Recipts process?
Include: Batch Number = <ask>, Operator: "greater than or equal to" Value: 1900, filterd by the Fund 09926. I am not sure if that info is clear enough but I'm not sure what else to say. Which records to include is captured by the 'batch number is set to ask' and I wanted all spring mail receipts (Filters: Funds Include selected: 09926) in any batch equal to or greater than 1900. The end result included more than 30 receipts that did not fall within those parameters - their batch numbers were well below 1900 and their fund was not spring mail (09926).
On a side note: why did my question have to be approved by a moderator? That has never happened before.
I did set up for our org. receipting for multiply batches.
Query that I use has this criteria
gift amount ( less than 250) , gift date <ask> receipts type =one receipt per gift, and gift type one of...select gift types
At same time select gift date in mail module same as you have in query and it should work fine.
Let me know if you need more details.
