    entering cremations into database

hello, I work with the Maui Humane Society. We have recently been wanting to enter our cremations into our Raisers Edge system. I'm not sure how I should go about doing this. I would like to not have to enter it as a gift, because it's not, but I still want to be able to produce a query for it, so when the time comes an acknowledgment letter can be sent to the constituents. I know that there is an option to add a pets name and information into the constituent information, not sure how to do that either. Is there any other animal welfare group that does this practice? How do you manage your database? Any help would be great. Thanks.

    Aloha, Harmony Hallas

I don't know the specifics but it would seem to me that this would be good if saved as actions. You could query on them, date them and assign letters to them too.

Thanks so much for your help. That was a great idea. I ended up calling the support line, and they had helped me set-up a constituent action that is linked to a sympathy letter, everything that you had said. Right on. thanks again.

    Aloha.
