Palmer Theological Seminiary, a school of Eastern University is associated with the American Baptist Churches of America and located just west of Philadelphia.
This position reports to the Director of Development Information and Services. The qualified candidate provides support to the Office of Development in that she/he inputs all new and updated gift and constituent information into the Raiser’s Edge database. They also prepare gift reports as necessary for the Development staff and the Finance Office.
Responsibilities include:
Adhere to the policies and procedures for data entry for the Raiser’s Edge database Add new Constituent records as neededUpdate all information in RE constituent records in a timely mannerManage all gift entry processes including;
· Process of all gift checks
· Complete Matching Gift forms submitted and apply for matching gifts.
· Verify online gift matches to ensure processing
· Record all gifts (cash, checks, stocks, gifts-in-kind as is appropriate) to the proper constituent record
· Print and distribute all gift Acknowledgement and Thank You letters/envelopes to solicitors for signing and then mail
· Run daily reports for accounting of all gifts received
· Run weekly reports by constituent of all gifts received
· Run Month End numbers and Solicitor Reports. Disburse reports to appropriate staff
· Run other gift related reports as requested
· Reconcile gifts received weekly with the Finance Office
Open Development Office mail daily and sort accordingly. Take all checks and process accordingly. If the information needs to go to the Finance Office, forward that mail on to them. Create mail boxes for Development staff as is appropriate. If staff member is on campus at the time (on the day of delivery), put in their mail box. Otherwise, bunch mail per person and send all to Kathy Urban at the University Development office. If there is a question contact Kathy Urban to determine appropriate procedure.
Assist the Development staff as needed as it relates to all fundraising efforts.
This description does not include all aspects of responsibility as it relates to Raiser’s Edge data entry and information management. Other responsibilities will be assigned as is appropriate within the Office of Development.
Qualifications: BA preferred but not required. One to three years experience of Raiser's Edge or similar database data and gift entry as well as preparing gift reports. Experience within higher education and fund raising a plus.
30 hours weekly Monday - Friday.
