We are a non-profit healthcare foundation. We don't use memberships but use constituency codes for donor groups. I'm having trouble getting reports that show how our donor groups are doing. Who is new, who has renewed since last year or what year last donated, what month they generally renew, what our current stats are to report to our volunteer committees. LYBUNT was my closest but doesn't narrow down my specific needs. The option of quarterly is last or next but not 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Specific date range is fine, but still doesn't give me the additional columns I want listed, such as month donated at a specific dollar value.

 I've tried several different queries along with different types of reports to get these results. Each time, there always seems to be information unavailable or missing. Any success stories or suggestions?

Have you looked at crystal reports as an option?

Another recommendation, though not exactly what you are looking for is the donor catgeory report, which can be found under the analytical reports section.  This is not a field in the Raiser's Edge, but is a code table.  There are in fact three code tables - Donor Category 1, 2 and 3.  This means that you can qualify your donors based on giving - for example, a donor that has given over £1m will be classed as a benefactor, below that a major donor, below that a mid-level donor etc 

Once you have set up the parameters for each of the donor category tables you can generate the report based on whichever category you choose. You can also filter the report further if you should wish.

I am not sure if this is what you were looking for, but is often under used and if you want to analyse your donors against their giving levels, this is a great way to do it.
