Has anyone tried to set up a Custom Report in Raisers Edge without having to process Export first?  Or maybe include an export that has nothing to do with the report itself, just to follow the procedure?  I ask because I have set up a queue to automatically export the data every morning.  It takes way too long to run the export and report at the same time through Custom Reports - if it runs at all (a large amount of data with on-demand subreports).  The reason I want to use Custom Reports and not just send links or create shortcuts for the users is because Crystal Reports does not automatically refresh data (unless someone has found a way???) and will open in the Design screen.  Or I can Save Data With Report but in both cases, they will have to manually refresh the report and there is too much opportunity for error.

If I am not wrong, in the latest version of Raiser’s Edge you can use the Queue module to run a custom report that would export the report into pdf. This was not available before. Therefore, all you need is a share space where you would want your pdfs to be saved, so others could access them.
