Specialized Direct Mail Requests by donors such as: mail only once a year

    Hi,

We do direct mail 10 - 12 times per year.  We select different giving criteria for many of the mailing lists, however, many people receive all of the mail pieces.  Very few pople complain and we have a good response rate for all of our mailings.

However, what works best for the donors who ask to not be contacted again for so many months or who want to receive our quarterly newsletter (onlly) or who only want to be contacted twice a year?  So far, I do nothing, unless specifically asked to remove their name from all mailings.

I just became aware of "solicit codes"  How can my problem be solved without too many solicit codes?

    Thank you

We use solicit codes - I would plan to use them as exclusionary fields.

Suzanne - We have a handful of donors who have asked to only be solicited once a year, during the holidays. We added the Solicit Code of Annual Solicitation Only to their records. Anyone with that code is excluded from all mailings, except the holiday mailing. Works well!
