Under individual relationships what is the difference between the primary business information check box and employee check box? Why are both listed since the primary business information as per Knowledgebase is used to indicate that the business is the indivual's current employer. This seems redundant. As the use of the relationship/reciprocal field when the individual relationship is tied to a organization constituent. I am confused.
The primary business information check box indicates that this organisation relationship is the primary organisational relationship for that constituent. For example, an individual can have a number of organsation relationships, maybe they are on a board of trustees, but they will indicate a primary business and this is normally their place of work. By making an organisation relationship the primary relationship it is shared with the BIO 1 business tab and the address is automatically shared with the addresses tab, enabling you to mail that constituent at their primary business address.
The employee checkbox is their to clearly identify if someone is an employee, so you can query on this field if needed. Some organisations may make the board relationship instead of their place of work the primary business relationship or they may not know their place of work.
The relationship and reciprocal fields can be used as employee or employer or something more specific, for example, Trusee or Chief Executive.
I hope that has helped! Let me know if you need any further information.
Thank you Charlotte that did make sense! Thank you
