    Database Manager & Registrar Position 2009-2010

     

    The Chicago Waldorf School is pleased to announce that it is seeking a Database Manager and Registrar for its growing, urban campus. Located in the diverse and vibrant Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago, the Chicago Waldorf School is fully accredited by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America and the Independent School Association of the Central States. The Chicago Waldorf School opened in 1974 and is an established Waldorf school in the Midwest. The school serves infants and toddlers in our Parent Child Program, and preschoolers in our Early Childhood Program. It provides a comprehensive 12 year Waldorf curriculum for students in grades 1-12, with a total enrollment of 340 students.

     
    Database Management Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Managing users and data of integrated Blackbaud Database (Financial Edge, Education Edge, Raiser's Edge).
    • Setting up reports, exports etc. for teachers, staff and parents as needed.
    • Identifying hardware and software needs of the school.

    Registrar Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Maintaining electronic student records.
    • Registering new students; registering continuing students for the following year; withdrawing students and forwarding records to other schools upon request.
    • Compiling statistical data on registration for administrative use.
    • Directing preparation of student transcripts; preparation of commencement lists; reviewing and updating academic records of students; compiling graduation requirements.

    Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Database Management or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of database or records management in a corporate, educational or not-for-profit setting.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Blackbaud and Microsoft Office Suite.
