How can I changing the format of an Addressee/Saluations

I would like to add parenthesis to a addressee in RE. I am not finding a way to do this.  Does anyone have any ideas?

This is the format I am trying to do for our directory.     Anderson, Kathy (Mark)

From the RE record, select the 'Addressees/Salutations' tab. Check the box marked 'Editable?' to the right of the text fields for the 'Primary Addressee' and/or 'Primary Salutation'. It should be highlighted in blue when the box is checked. You should then be able to add in parenthesis.

Did the previous reply solve your issue?  Or are you wanting to change the configuration to create a new addressee so it would be a selection for multiple records and you would not have to edit each one?

If you wish to create a new addressee format, it's done through Configuration >> Addressees/Salutations >> New Addr/Sal.  In the box you choose what fields you need on each line of the set up display:  (preview at bottom of box shows how addressee will look)

    1. last name         check 'comma' box
    2. first name
    3. (                  It will ask if you want to add '(' to fields - yes, check concatenate box
    4. spouse first name - are whatever field you are drawing 'Mark' from        Check  concatenate box and Smart box
    5. )                  It will ask if you want to add ')' to fields - yes, check concatenate box

Give your addressee a name and you should be set.  (Tip - in case you don't know - it helps a lot to move addressee/salutation formats that you use the most to the top of the list in configuration. - Then you don't have to scroll forever to find the right one.  Or use "Insert" to create it where you want it in the list)
