Hi,

I am after advise on where to store a donation ask in regards to a fundraising prospect?

Would these be stored individually as Actions within the proposal? Or is there a better way around it?

We are wanting to store the number of asks to each prospective donor - and in turn - be able to  export this information at some point.

Any suggestions are very much welcome.

I belive actions within a proposal is the best place to do this.

I would store all solicitations under Constituent Appeals so I can use the designed reporting functionality

Additionally, If it is a grant proposal, I would store it in the prospect module - including a media file of the grant proposal.

We have our users create an action with an action type of Proposal Submitted.  We have the Prospect module as well, so we also have our users update the proposal status to Proposal Submitted and link the corresponding action to that proposal. 

We do most of the reporting from the proposal, not the action, but I should add that it can sometimes get tricky because of the lack of a proposal query or export.

I would also store the ask under the Constituent Appeal.  The easiest way to do this is to create Appeal first (in Records), then you can individually or globally add all who are being asked.  You can also break down the Appeal into certain segments with Packages.  It is a good way to store other information about the "ask too."
