Does RE cater for CRM - type management of key supporters?

I come from a professional services sales background where I have used CRM software in managing client relations for the last 20 years. When I started in this current non-profit I was introduced to RE and found that it did not cater for opportunity tracking and other CRM features that have long been the norm in the commercial world. Having said that it may well be that the configuration of RE in our non-profit is just lacking those features and that they could be installed. So my question is "can they". Does RE have a user friendly capacity to emulate CRM software packages such as ACT! The key feature that I'm wondering about is the ability to track the development/path of "opportunities" through various levels of relationship development with a supporter? This is a core feature of CRM systems used in professional services and would be a great help in managing the process of major donor cultivation. Can anyone advise me please? Thanks in anticipation - Malcolm

I'm not positive that there isn't an integrated module to do exactly what you're asking (Check with your Blackbaud rep because something may be out there or in Q&A stage?) - but have you looked at using the Prospect Module or Action Tracks for Moves management in conjunction with Solicitors perhaps to see if you can get the functionality you need?

In my opinion NFP's tend to trend behind For Profits in things like CRM, etc.

THe thing that comes closest would be the action tab, you could create your own action tracks.
