When a matching gift pledge payment comes from the matching gift company, and the payment includes the donor's portion of the payment, do you hard credit the MGC and soft credit the donor?

First to clarify, the matching gift company is the donor.  For ease of replying I will assume match gift is on behalf of an employee. 

Yes, you can certainly soft credit employee.  As have been discussed in the forums, there are some reports that soft credits may be double counted and skew numbers.  This generally is a minor issue.  It you just want MG to appear on employee gift screen, this will automatically happen.  As it's listed there, I have never felt the need to soft credit it also.
