This is our first year to run the VSE Report using Raisers Edge. We are curious as to how many users have changed or added constituency codes to run the VSE canned report. We would also like to know how you track alum grads and alum non-grads--by using the educational data? With the Foundation-Other and Foundation-Personal and Family do you distinguish them by using an attribute or a constiuency code? It would be great to hear from anyone that has been successful using the canned report. Thank you.
I have to admit I'm stumped by what VSE means. Is this a canned Raiser's Edge report?
VSE stands for Voluntary Support for Education.
We filled this out for the first time last year. I was not able to pull much from the canned reports, largely becasue I cannot count on gift consituency being accurate. I ended up exporting alot of the data out and analyzing in excel. I do not know how to use Crystal reports so don't know if that might be an option.
Hi,
I have used a crystal reports to create VSE survey when we had Millennium database. Once we moved to RE, the canned Raiser’s Edge report works fine. We have business rules that every single fund must have a category and type, so summarizing the data by fund category makes it very easy to group gifts to Current Operations or Capital Purposes. The only section we have to calculate through custom crystal reports is VSE Sources.
