The position of Education Edge Database Administrator has become available at one of our independent school (private school) clients in the west Los Angeles area.

The position requires someone extremely familiar with Blackbaud's Education Edge software and very proficient in the use of Crystal Reports.

The Database Administrator will provide support and assistance to the various members of the school's administrative and instructional staff, responding to questions concerning the Education Edge software and its ability to provide solutions to the particular needs of each school department.

The school community will rely upon the Database Administrator for all installations, conversions and upgrades, including modifying existing Crystal Report formats and creating new ones. The Database Administrator will also provide training to members of the faculty and staff, facilitate and support school processes that interact with the software (e.g., grades, transcripts, scheduling, website, year-end financial reporting, etc.), and trouble shoot hardware, operating system, network, software and printing issues.

In addition to the Blackbaud proficiency, the position requires excellent written and oral communication skills, strong customer service skills, an advanced knowledge of computer and networking concepts and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (emphasis on Microsoft Access) and Crystal Reports.

Because this is a school environment, candidates will undergo thorough background screening through Livescan and TB testing.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

The school offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits packages to their employees. For this position, the salary range would be from $50,000 to $60,000 annually depending on experience.
