I am certain this has been posted but really need help. Annual Fund Director wants a report that lists pledges, stock gifts and cash separately for each month and year. Would like to compare 1/1/08 to 1/1/09 to see where she was and is and how it compares. Thanks for any help with what report I should use to pull this information.
There is not one single canned report that handles the brakdown as you specified, however there are some reports that can help you.
The Comparison and Summaries reports under Demographic and Statistical reports may help you with this. However, it only allows up to 5 time periods (I use this to compare things on a 5 complete year basis or over 2 years using 3 time periods Last year in it's entirety, Last year - year to date and this year year to date) - so the monthly thing would be better served under Statistical reports. The other portions can be managed using the Gift Type filters on these reports.
I have found the reports to be more meaningful run on a revenue (Cash, Pledges, Stock gifts, GIK's) or Cash Basis (Cash, Pledge Payments, Stock Gifts) basis as opposed to listing gift types separately. I'm not exactly sure what the information would be used for broken down by gift type (does it have meaningful practical use?)
