I am new to Raiser's Edge so, while what I'm trying to do maybe easy, I have wasted a tremendous amount of time trying to figure it out on my own. Our organization recently changed it's logo and have about 20 different receipt letters in which have the logo on them. Currently I run a batch of receipts and then change them one-by-one. I have been trying to find where the word templates are located and just change the master, but I have failed miserably. I have tried: configuration->letters->edit letter but that doesn't seem to get the job done. Any help would be appreciated.
What process do you use to run your receipts? Mail/Receipts?
If this is the case, after you hit send to Word Merge Wizard hit next and then open the word document to Edit and change the logo in the Word document. Save and go back to RE and then click finish. (Sometimes folks click finish and bypass the step where the editing can be done.)
Let me know if this is not the case, and we'll try something else.
Excellent! I knew it was an easy fix that I just couldn't figure out. Thank you.
I have one other issue related to making the required change to our receipts. Our process is indeed Mail/Receipts andI seem to be unable to get the contents of the salutation field to show. When I pulled up the original receipt I saw that whoever originally set the letters up used the RE field "Addressee" where the salutation should be. Like our new logo, I have been manually changing the salutation after running the receipts. Using the process you provided I have changed the field to the RE field "Salutation" but it is still coming up "Addressee". How can I fix this?
First go to Fields to include in your receipt process and make sure that
Addressee/Salutation.Salutation is there - make sure you highlight it and click the options button (on the right side at top) to format the field to be what addressee/salutation you need it to be.
Then go into the word document and make sure that Addressee/Salutation.Salutation is the field placed where you want your salutation to be.
Excellent again! I had completed all of the steps except for that 'options' button part. Thanks.
