Commitment report not printing and applying to constituent record

    Hello All,

We enter gifts through batch and on a few occasions in the last few months, although we have "committed" a batch and it appears to have been committed, the gifts within that batch have not "applied" into the constituents' records.

Anyone know what may be happening here?

    Thank you,

    Liberty Hill

Do you mean applied against pledge payments or not posting into the constituents records at all?

If you are committing a batch, make sure that you have automatically apply gifts to pledges and recurring gifts checked (and the box under it that says to only apply to pledges & recurring gifts with the same fund). This will make sure that the gifts are applying against the pledges properly.

Let me know if this doesn't answer your question

Thanks for writing back so quickly.

Specifically on several occasions, after committing a batch, we see that the green exclamation mark has gone gray, indicating to us that the batch has committed.  And on those several occasions, for whatever reason, the commit report didn't automatically print.

Initially we had thought nothing of it, BUT, when checking a constituent record afterwards, it did NOT post to the consituent's record at all!

I'll pass along your suggestion as well to my colleague to try, but that's where we are at.  Very weird.

    Thanks!

One way to verify this is to check the box that says create control report and have it either preview or print so you can verify that the batch was committed and what batch number was utilized.

There are steps during the process that you can cancel out and not commit, which may also have been occuring (such as answering the prompts after the validation portion)
