New to RO, have duplicate courses

    New to RO, have duplicate courses

    I am new to RO (from Admissions) and have inherited course records going back 10+ years. Some courses are duplicates, the same course with slightly different ID's/Names. Some are on different academic years, some on the same academic years. Has anyone had experience with this? Is there a record merge option for courses as there is with individual/applicant records that would retain the associated students/grades? I know I cannot delete course records if there are schedules/grades associated with them. I was hoping I might be able to clean this up through the Export/Import option, by exporting out the duplicate ID/Name/System ID and importing back in the unified record information, but I am very unsure about this.

    Any insights?

    Kimberly,  I don't think you can change any of these since they are all tied back to student transcripts.  I have this situation and what I did was just mark the unused courses as "Course is no longer offered" which is found on the Course tab of the Course Record.  I just make sure that when I query I only query on NOT "course is no longer offered".
