My boss in curious as to whether or not other organizations use the First Giving website, and if so, are you able to upload it into Raiser's Edge?

We don't use it - basically because it is another charity and the donors would not be managed by us (all receipting, etc would come from First Giving, not us).  They have a fee structure in place that is higher than our credit card fees so less of the donors money makes it to our organization. I believe their website lists it at 7.5% currently.

It would depend how the information is distributed to you on whether or not you can upload it into the raiser's edge easily. For instance, if they are sending you a check with a hard copy report you wouldn't be able to upload it - If they send you some sort of emailed spreadsheet and direct deposit the money into your account it may be feasible to upload.

I would look at the Import Tutorial to see if importing (uploading) is something you can do on a consistent basis easily. I may be wrong , but I don't believe that there is a current integration module with First Giving available to purchase from Blackbaud. Maybe some other folks will have more information.
