    Certificate Programs for Database Management

Does any one have any good recommendations for Certificate Programs in Database Management, preferably online? After nine years, I think I should get some advanced technical education as I originally started my career in fundraising, not IT.

    Thanks.

    Hey Alicia,

It depends what you're after really. I've attended a couple of Blackbaud classroom courses, and found them mostly very informative.

Outside of that it really depends. There's general database theory, which would be taught hand-in-hand alongside  a course pertaining to your particular database. So if you're after knowledge of a specific DB, then start checking out the vendor's website for courses, or check out their user forums. There's, more often than not, a well accepted method of training for each given technology among the users.

    Hope that helps,
    Pete
