    Future Database Administrator Q & A Sessions

A few days ago, we posted a poll to gauge your interest in our upcoming Q&A session "What Every Blackbaud Database Administrator Ought to Know."

If you missed the description, here it is:
Our Technical Support Lead, David Johnson, will begin with a brief presentation which covers basics like installing, updating, backing up, recovering, and maintaining your database and troubleshooting technical issues. Then it's time for your questions and ideas!

The response was great and we've met our capacity for the scheduled meeting, so we are closing registration early. We've already had a few people say that they would be interested in a future session, and we know that not everyone had a chance to respond to the initial poll. If you're interested in a future session, vote below. When we schedule our next session, you will be the first to find out! If you have ideas for other technical sessions, reply to this post!

Re: Future Database Administrator Q & A Sessions

I would be interested aslong as it did not get too technical.  I am mostly interested in RE support part of DBA's role.

     Hi Cindy,

During the session we will be discussing backing up and recovering the database, installing and updating your application, and general troubleshooting.  We will not be discussing any thing that is specific to one product.

Thank you all for your interest in the Database Administrator Roundtable discussions.  We will be having another session soon but we do not have a date scheduled yet.  We will update the Forums when we have a new date planned.

    Thanks again for your interest!

Re: Future Database Administrator Q & A Sessions

I am the Financial Systems Manager and responsible for all the components we purchased.  I am greatly interested in attending your next session.  In the meantime, does anyone have an internal help desk for their users? And if you do, you have a support decision tree?
