I'm looking for procedures on tracking giving clubs. We are starting several new clubs next fiscal year: lifetime giving, new donor, athletic giving, annual fund giving. Does anyone have a SOP for the way they document and track?
Thanks!

We use Constituent Attributes to track giving clubs. This allows us to 'grandfather' in those who are given recognition gratis (such as some soft credit folks on a one off basis) as oppsed to going with the straight Giving Level functionality. The great thing about using the attributes is that you can attribute a date to them which allows creative license to compare year to year, etc as well as use as criteria to pull giving club welcome letters, etc. on a dated basis.
We have annual giving clubs based on amount as well as lifetime memberships in giving societies. Tracking these in the membership module is very easy. You can create queries to pull the correct group of donors and then globally add the membership. You can also run new membership reports or renewal letters based on the date joined in order to create membership letters in mail.

Thanks for the info. Do you keep historical information in the attributes? For example, if they move up a level, do you keep the attribute for the old level and add a new attribute for the new level and show the new date? And the same for a yearly society...do you add a new attribute for each fiscal year?
We don't have the membership module and with massive budget cuts, it's not a possibility right now.
Yes we keep the Historical info, unless it's in the same year. For example, If they donate $1K they are in PF09 (President's Forum 2009), but if they give a combined $5K during 2009 I will change it to CC09 (Chairman's Circle 2009). They can only belong to one Annual Giving club per year.
The lifetime Giving Clubs I use the date field so we can track additions on an annual basis to report to the Board
