There seems to have been a recent change to how event registrations download into the event module in BBNC. For example, we have a unit called Elm that costs $500 and allows for a registrant and guest (2 people.) In the past, that would come into the event module as a registrant participant with the Elm unit on the record and a link to the gift. Currently, it comes down with the unit on both records and the payment on either the guest or the registrant record. We have had both results.
At this point in time, tech support is reviewing the issue. I'm told this was a user request that was fulfilled. In our case, we have to re-write our custom reports, our procedures for entering the manual registrations and payments and we have to re-train our staff. Has anyone else experienced this change? If so, is it helpful for you?
I've noticed the change and agree that it is not useful for our recording purposes. However, I am still very new to BBNC and am doing a lot of trial-and-error learning. We are currently gathering registrations for our annual Alumni Reunion and using BBNC to do online registration. I've noticed that the preset reports are useless for our purposes and have resorted to writing quieries and then having to compile the information (by hand) into a format that we can use. It's been a pain, and we're hoping that we have a better solution by the time Reunion rolls around next year.
