    Database Administrator-Fundraising Philadelphia

    The Chemical Heritage Foundation (CHF) is seeking a Database Administrator to manage the CHF constituent database and develop analytical tools using both the in-house database and other sources to maximize the information on CHF’s constituents for both fundraising and programmatic purposes.  The Database Administrator will report to the Vice President of Institutional Advancement and work closely with others in advancement, IT, finance, and program areas, as well as the President’s office.  Specific responsibilities include:

     

    ·         Administering and maintaining all constituent records, including biographical and financial data of individuals and organizations

    ·         Analyzing data bases  for trends and information which can advance CHF’s fundraising effectiveness

    ·         Ensuring that CHF staff have appropriate access to and are trained in the database software to maximize their ability to directly access information essential to the performance of their jobs

    ·         Working with software providers and IT staff to troubleshoot problems, implement updates, and keep abreast on new developments

     

    This position requires a bachelors degree and two or more years experience working with database applications (experience with fundraising software a plus). Strong analytical and research skills; demonstrated organizational, planning and communication skills; and proficiency with typical Microsoft applications are essential.  Nonprofit experience and an understanding of development and fundraising fundamentals are pluses.
