I relatively new to raiser's edge and want to create a report on alumni who are children of alumni, or what we call legacy alumni.  I've tried running a query of constituency code = College Graduates AND individual relationship one of daughter, daughter in law, son, etc.

And another with constituency code = College Graduates AND individual relationship equals child.

Niether are returning what I need, any ideas?

I've just tried this and it seemed to work:
First of all run a Relationship Query and under the Constituent node choose constituent code =College Graduate and then under the Individual node click on constituent code = College Graduate AND Relationship Code = One of Father/Mother/Parent... (depending on how you code parents).

That should give you all the children of alumni who are also alumni.

 That's pretty much exactly how we do it.  Query for Alumni with relationships that have a constituency code of Student - that gives you current parents; then change the code on the relationship to Alumni and you get Past Parents.
