    Getting started in Researchers Edge

     Hi there-

    We have had Researchers Edge for some time, but to my knowledge, none of our major gifts officers has used it for at least 1- 1 1/2 years. We have new officers now, and I would like to get them started using it, but having never used it myself am not sure where or how to start. I'm reading the manual as we speak, but was wondering if anyone knows if Blackbaud offers any trainings in it?

    I am sure Blackbaud do provide courses.  I would contact your Account Manager and ask.

    Amy,

    I'm in the same boat you are with Researcher's Edge. If you have found out about any trainings can you let me know. We have had this for about a year but no one has used it and now with a new VP starting in a few weeks suddenly everyone wants to use this!

    The Researcher’s Edge is a good and easy to learn product. I think Blackbaud is moving away from the Researcher’s Edge to the new platform and application. The new application is called the Research Point. It is hosted by Blackbaud and it has all the functions of the Researcher’s Edge and much more. So before you invest any money for training, ask Blackbaud if they are planning to move customers who have Researcher’s Edge to the Research Point.
