Good Morning~
While cleaning up our database. I made constituent records "Inactive". The CEO wanted the list. After reviewing the list she
wants approximately 100 to remain "Active". I would like to be able to identify these records in the future ( I am sure they will
come up in another query for cleanup). I think the best practice is to use the Attributes tab. Any suggestions? Text/Table what
use would you in the Text/Table?
Thank you in advance,
Ellen
We have a constituent attribute called ‘Protected Contstituent’ which is based on a Table. The table contains entries that are relevant to us regarding why a constituent should not be flagged as inactive. This also allows us to date and add small comments of choice.
When running your ‘inactive’ query you simply exclude those flagged as protected. The only drawback to this is that you will need a reviewing process in place to occasionally confirm that the constituents should retain this attribute.

We also have an Attribute that basically justifies why the constituent should remain active ... works really well ... the only challenge is determining whether or not to solicit them, which will likely require using a "solicit code" on certain records.
