• Process timely payment disbursements to vendors; act as primary accounting liaison to all vendors; review invoice and check requests to ensure proper coding and authorization, follow up with staff and vendors to resolve discrepancies; monthly reconciliation of A/P
• All aspects of accounts receivable and receipts; track revenue from performance fee, commission, and royalty contracts; generate invoices; timely deposit of all incoming funds; monthly reconciliation of A/R
• Reconcile monthly expenses charged to corporate credit card accounts
• Process fees and bi-weekly payroll; payment of taxes, 403(b), & direct deposit (EFT)
• Prepare annual 1099/W-2’s for all independent contractors and 40 full time employees 
• Prepare quarterly federal, state, unemployment and disability reports
• Reconcile monthly bank statements
• Maintain General Ledger
• Maintain payroll and unemployment records
• Assist with annual audit preparation
• Daily banking
• With the assistance of the Dance Center Bursar; monitor daily transaction activity posted to the general ledger for school tuition and studio rental fees
• Assist CFO on special projects as needed

• BA/BS in accounting
• 1- 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in non-profit sector
• Accuracy and attention to detail is vital
• Excellent analytical and organization skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Knowledge of Blackbaud Financial Edge is a plus

Just to be ornery -- we have a small city called Brooklyn here in Cleveland, OH. I would have guessed NYC but ........

I will admit to not even seeing that it was in Brooklyn.  I look for it in the subject but if not there then I skim or look at the bottom for an address.  it didn't jump out in a skim.
