    Prospect Tracking / Move Management

Does anyone have any reports/exports that use to track their proposals that they wouldn't mind sharing?  We currently use an export (which was created before I joined) and my boss would like to re-vamp it.  I haven't dabbled in Crystal Reports yet, so I pretty much do things through export.  I have a feeling I will export the information, then merge it into Word to make it look like a report.Things we'd want:constituent
    solicitor
    ask amount
    proposal status
last completed action w/ notes or description of action (have a feeling this would be hard to get, but haven't even looked yet)
next action to complete w/ notes or description of action (have a feeling this would be hard to get, but haven't seen looked yet)
Even if your report/export doesn't have the above items, we would still love to see them.  I'd rather see all options and get all feedback now, rather then after I take the time to revamp, then need to do it again. Thanks!

    Hi Katie,

I've built custom prospect reports with crystal as the canned reports for this module were somewhat limiting.  I would strongly recommend that you give crystal a go as once the template is built it is just a matter of refreshing. This will ultimately save you time as you won't need to edit word merges!

We had a number of reports for managing prospects, none of which I have a copy of unfortunately, but we grouped the records by different fields, i.e. classification, prospect status, proposal status, canvasser etc

You're right in saying that the action info will be difficult to get. There is no last action for prospect actions, so you will have to use filtering to get the results you want, either on the action type, status or even completion.  For example, pulling off the action that is uncompleted, should in a sense be the next action...(this is unless there is more than one uncompleted action!!)

I hope that helps somewhat.  Good luck!

    Katie --

I have been exporting our prospect data into Excel ... a two-part process that takes about 5-10 minutes to update for our staff (after setting up the initial spreadsheet).  We have created a couple of variations over the past year or so ... I'm happy to share the process with you, if you're interested.

I would appreciate it, Kathleen.  Today's the day I am going to roll the sleeves up and get cracking on it since I need to present something on Friday (nothing like waiting until the last minute).  My e-mail is katiekupiecki@borgess.com

    Thanks!
