    Re: Listing in Annual Report

When it comes to requests for recognition other than the donor's name (be it individual or organization), we keep a folder and review it once the report has been tweaked the many times that it has to be tweaked.  We do so much looking payments on pledges by non-pledgees, money paid into campaigns prior to the current fiscal year, etc., that we might as well have a manual folder.  Plus, it's not that many.  And I give an "Amen" to Fonda who has a game going on how many complaints you get.  I do the same thing!  But, I take bets on WHO it will be complaining first.

Create a new constituent record with the three individuals on it, or just with a "head of household," and the three names as you want them in your salutation field. Soft credit the gift to your new record, then mark your foundation as a anonymous donor. The gift will be credited to the secondary record in the annual report list. This does assume that you list your soft-credit donors in your annual report. If you don't, then I'm at a loss. Patrick Nugent Cincinnati Museum Center

Melissa-- When someone requests an Anonymous listing, I have an Addressee/Salutation formula "Anonymous (Last Name, First Name)" so that in rough drafts people can see who is there and make sure no one is missing. It cuts down on panic!

    Travis,

I do something similar in rough drafts - as I said in my posting it is the FINAL draft when I finally remove the names that people have come to me in a panic.  Not much you can do about that except train them to check RE before sharing their panic with me.  :)
