    Addressees/Salutations Tab

I was able to use combination keys depressed at same time -- shift key and F2 key -- to automatically populate the primary addressee and primary salutation fields as well as the three different types of addressee/salutations which I currently use in the database  (couples addressee, couples formal salutation and publishedrecognition name).

For some reason I need to reestablish this functionality because it no longer populates these fields when I use the shift and F2 keys in combination.  Where can I configure this in the database to reestablish this shortcut?

    Thank you.

If you are talking about using the "Load Defaults From" feature I never knew about a shift F2 feature.  I just go to the Constituent menu and select it from there.  You can do Alt C + Alt D to get to it but Shift F2 is not working on my version.

Did you recently change versions?  From what version to what version did you change?

Shift + F2 works for me (I'm on version 7.85.5026.0).  Linda, it sounds like you need to reestablish your default sets.  Choose Constituent, Load Defaults From and you can add new defaults from there.

Linda, if your RE is still set up correctly, you may want to check your keyboard (especially if you got a new one recently). A lot of fancier keyboards have additional functions for the F keys, and a key that toggles them between their F1-F12 functions and those added functions. (My keyboard has this, with an "F Lock" key.)

If the keys are not toggled to their F functions, then F2 won't operate as F2 in RE or anywhere else.

Thank you so much Leslie.  It worked perfectly.  I am on version 7.85.5026.2.  I followed your suggestion exactly and I was able to reestablish my default sets.

    Thanks again for your help.

We've never used Default Sets...but shift F2 works for me! It's a great tip - thanks for sharing it.

    Re: Addressees/Salutations Tab

Ditto the thanks - I had set up some additional addressee and salutations but didn't even think to add them to our defaults.  I'd been entering manually on new records entered last month.  Got them set now - thanks for the reminder.

    (Shift + F2 works for us also - we're on 7.85.5026.3 now.)
