    How do you ensure that teachers post on a regular basis?

    Hi folks,

    We have been using NetClassroom for a year and half. We now need to tighten up on those teachers that procrastinate posting thier grades. Is there a report or log file that an administrator could look at to see which teachers have updated thier grades and which ones have not?

    We used to have the same problem with attendance when we first implemented FAWeb. But after a couple weeks of running the Attendance Taken Reprot and reminding those teachers that forgot, the problem went away as teachers just got into the habit. Is there something similiar for NetClassroom?

    We do not have net classroom, just FAWEB. I think that this will work for you, though.

    Our teachers are given a deadline as to when everything needs to be entered in FAWEB. After that, I run a pre-posting report in Administration, Post from FAWEB.

    I then print out the report and give it to the division head who then deals with the offender(s).

    There is always someone who does not meet the deadline, but things have vastly improved.

    Good luck.

    Teachers are supposed to update their gradebooks at least weekly at my school.   Since I also teach 2 classes, I understand that sometimes, that just doesn't happen.  However, to "encourage" those who are way behind you can try this:

    A new Student Query,

    open the + by Grades

    open the + by Daily Grades

    select these fields:

    Academic year = 2008-9

    Grading Period = the current period

    Date Last Changed  <=  some date you pick  (I'd go with at least 2 weeks ago).  --note this is under DAILY GRADES PROPERITES

    historical = no

    For output, select the teacher name, and other information you want.  However, it is best to only select things under that DAILY GRADES section or you will end up with a ton of rows.
