Just took the Crystal Reports eLearning class on Monday within F/E.  Just want to make sure I understood a version question I asked. 

We have an environment with F/E & R/E using 8.5 Crystal run-time.  If I install Crystal XI (11), which is what we used in class, will I have any problems running canned R/E reports which I believe are in 8.5 using the run-time version?  Currently none of our workstations have a separate installation of Crystal, they have the standard R/E installation.  We thought there was an issue with this a while back.  We have another application which uses Crystal XI and we thought there was an issue with running standard 8.5 reports.  Please let me know if anyone has experienced any problems.  Thanks.. 

Hi Ron, installing Crystal Reports XI will have no affect on canned reports in Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge.  If you are planning on creating your own crystal report and using them within Raiser's Edge or Financial Edge as Custom Reports, make sure you are on at least version 7.70 of Financial Edge and version 7.81 or higher of Raiser's Edge.
