    Crystal Reports XI

    Just took the Crystal Reports eLearning class on Monday.  Just want to make sure I understood a version question I asked. 

    We have an environment with F/E using 8.5 Crystal run-time.  If I install Crystal XI (11), which is what we used in class, will I have any problems running canned F/E reports which I believe are in 8.5 using the run-time version?  Currently none of our workstations have a separate installation of Crystal, they have the standard F/E installation.  We thought there was an issue with this a while back.  We have another application which uses Crystal XI and we thought there was an issue with running standard 8.5 reports.  Please let me know if anyone has experienced any problems.  Thanks..

    Not that I recall.  Some users at my organisation used to have 8.5 version and others XI and I cannot remember any problems with the XI users running reports created with 8.5 version.  You would I imagine encounter problems if you do it the other way round.

    I am running RE 7.75.5026.3 and Crystal XI and have no issues with the custom reports.
