Follow up to upgrading to RE 7.58

I've been reading some previous postings about upgrading to 7.58 and was hoping to follow up.....some mentioned that after upgrading, the system ran slower (posting batches and running financial reports), a general ledger connection was lost, and that some systems were crashing or freezing up for no real apparent reason.

For those of you that were affected in this way, were the issues resolved with the recent patch releases?

Any other comments from anyone for or against upgrading?

As with every upgrade you absolutely need to be sure that you meet (or preferably exceed) the published requirements for your server, workstations, etc.  If possible, you upgrade in a test environment first.

I hear this happening with different places on every patch and it seems to be individual problems that you often can not predict.  Overall problems are usually caught in the first few patches (if not in Beta).  This far out from the release there usually are few problems with an update but you ALWAYS can count on one or two issues.  It is the nature of software updates and is not exclusive to Blackbaud.
