The Immigrant Learning Center, Inc. (ILC) is seeking an experienced development person to join the development team within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment to meet an annual operating budget of over $1 million.  Responsibilities include proposal writing, donor reporting, foundation and donor research, database maintenance and assistance with event planning. 

The candidate will have a successful track record of fundraising, a minimum of a Bachelors Degree and three to five years of progressively responsible development experience. He or she must have exceptional writing and analytical skills, superior oral and presentation skills, strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities and excellent organizational and project management skills.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office software is also required. A working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge software and cutting-edge e-philanthropy and social networking technologies would be helpful. Experience working within business and culturally-diverse environments are also a plus. The candidate will report to the Director of Development.

Founded in 1992, The ILC is a not-for-profit adult learning center located in Malden, MA (six miles north of Boston) that provides free English classes to immigrant and refugee adults so they can lead productive lives in the U.S. and become successful workers, parents and community members.  The ILC also promotes immigrants as assets to America through its Public Education Program.
