10 to 20 second delay when adding a Gift to Batch

    10 to 20 second delay when adding a Gift to Batch 

    Has anyone had this issue?  We have ran through the BB80414 solution with little improvement...

    At what point is the delay? 

    At the end of the row?  What is the last field column in your batch?  What is the first field?
    After you've selected your constituent? How many business rules do you have running?

    Does this happen on all user's computers or just one?

    At what point is the delay? 
    When the constituent ID or name is selected as the actual donor

    At the end of the row?  What is the last field column in your batch? 
    The last coulmn in the bathc is the GL post date


    After you've selected your constituent? How many business rules do you have running?
    none that pop up during Gift Batch entry but we have over 200 Business Rules created at the constituent level and 5 at the gift level

    What is the first field?
    The Constituent Code is the first in the row and the name is the second column in the row (if I'm following your questions)

    Does this happen on all user's computers or just one?
    All Clint Server computers
    All Locally installed Laptops
    On the Server as well

    I can't say for sure but it may be the number of business rules you have running.  How long does it take to open a constituent record outside of batch?

    I would check with BB but I think that any time you open a constituent record (inside and outside of batch) all of those business rules have to run meaning the computer has to run all 200 of those queries.  That may be your delay but again - check with BB.

    thanks Melissa,

    It takes about 1 second to put in a name, hit find and the guys pop up...it also takes a bout a second to key in the Constituent ID and hit find...but I'll check and see all the same

    Hello Melissa,

    We have 225 Gift Business Rules running and BB did say that could be the issue...We are having them check the data with and without the Business Rules...Thanks for the insight...I'll let you know what the finding are...Any other nugget you can toss this way would be appreciated as always!
